BATTERY SAFETY TIPS & WAIVER
VapeZoneUK does not guarantee that external batteries are safe to use, including in vaporizers or vaping devices. Please be aware of the risks associated with using and/or possessing external batteries.
Below you will find some tips to help prevent injuries or accidents, but please do your own research before purchasing any external batteries to decide if using them is appropriate for you.
-
Always inspect batteries before each use. Do not use if the wrapper is torn or damaged, or if there is any discoloration, dents, deformation. Do not use batteries if dropped or impacted.
-
Do not disassemble, puncture, cut, short circuit, incinerate or expose batteries to water or fire.
-
Never allow batteries to come in contact with metal objects, including but not limited to keys, magnets, coins.
-
Always store batteries in a plastic battery case, designed for the size and specs of your battery(s).
-
Always store batteries in a cool, dry place.
-
Do not leave batteries in your vehicle. Do not put batteries in your pocket, purse, or bag.
-
Never let batteries become exposed to extreme temperatures, water, or moisture.
-
Always use the charging cable that came with your device or use an external battery charger that is designed to charge your specific battery. Do not use phone or tablet chargers to charge your vape device.
-
Do not overcharge batteries, and do not drain batteries below 3.2 volts. Most regulated devices have overcharge protection and will not let you drain batteries below the recommended voltage. Check with the manufacturer of your device to see what safety features it includes or lacks thereof.
-
Always “marry” a set of batteries when using a device that requires two or more batteries to operate. To “marry” a set of batteries means that you purchase new batteries together, use them only together, charge them only together, and do not switch any of the batteries out with other ones. Of course, you can have multiple sets of “married” batteries, but make sure to not mix up the sets. Store each set of batteries in their own designated cases when not in use.
-
Always keep batteries out of reach of children and pets.
